Our Crown: B Corp Certification

At Artisan Furniture, sustainability is not an afterthought — it is the crown that defines us. As a certified B Corporation, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility. This recognition reflects more than a badge; it is proof that our values, processes, and global operations meet rigorous benchmarks for transparency, accountability, and sustainability.

Sustainability at the Core

Every product we craft is made with 100% solid mango wood and other responsibly sourced timbers such as acacia, sheesham, oak, and pine. By using timber from regulated forestry and renewable sources, we protect ecosystems while empowering communities. Our Jaipur factory operates as a community-driven hub, where artisanal skills meet modern compliance frameworks — ensuring that every piece carries both beauty and responsibility.

United States: Complying with the Lacey Act

Our operations in the US strictly align with the Lacey Act, which prohibits the trade of illegally harvested timber. This means our American partners can be confident that every item we deliver — from Fairview on the East Coast to Compton on the West Coast — is backed by legal, transparent, and sustainable sourcing practices.

European Union: Meeting EUDR Standards

In the EU, we operate under the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). This demands traceability across the entire supply chain, ensuring that timber entering the European market is sourced responsibly. Our compliance systems are designed to provide transparency, protect forests, and support Europe’s long-term sustainability goals.

United Kingdom: Upholding UKTR Compliance

As a London-based company, the UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) sits at the heart of our business practices. From Ipswich to Westminster, we meet the UK’s stringent requirements for legality and due diligence, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in every transaction.

India: VRIKSH and Responsible Forestry

Our Jaipur facility adheres to India’s VRIKSH standards, an internationally recognized system that ensures traceability of timber and compliance with responsible forestry laws. Here, sustainability is more than a rule — it is our culture. By working directly with artisans, we provide fair wages, dignified working conditions, and opportunities for long-term growth.

Australia: Illegal Logging Prohibition Act

Our Australian operations comply with the Illegal Logging Prohibition Act, which requires importers to undertake due diligence and verify the legality of timber. With our Sydney fulfillment hub, we provide Australian resellers and consumers with furniture that is as sustainable as it is stylish.

Canada: Sustainable Forest Management & CEPA

In Canada, sustainability aligns with the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) standard, CSA Z809 — one of the world’s most rigorous forestry certifications. Through our Mississauga fulfillment center and Toronto service office, we operate within this framework, ensuring that every delivery meets Canada’s commitment to responsible forestry and environmental protection.

Measuring Our Carbon Footprint

Beyond compliance, we take responsibility for our carbon footprint. By measuring emissions across manufacturing, logistics, and fulfillment, we set tangible goals for reduction. From packaging choices to optimized shipping routes, we constantly refine our practices to minimize impact and maximize sustainability.

A Global Commitment, Crowned by B Corp

From Westminster to Jaipur, New Jersey to Sydney, Toronto to Magdeburg — our sustainability story is global. Yet what unites every geography and every regulation is our B Corp certification, the crown that symbolizes our unwavering commitment to doing business responsibly.
