1. Types of Swatches You Can Request

Artisan Furniture offers a dedicated swatch service for business customers who require material or finish previews before placing orders. Swatches provide a reliable way to evaluate colour, tone, texture, and finish consistency—especially when coordinating multiple pieces within the same environment or planning larger orders.

 

Wooden Finish Swatches: These are small timber samples representing our main finishes such as natural, light, medium, dark, walnut, chestnut, oak-ish, and golden teak. They help match furniture to flooring, cabinetry, or interior colour palettes.

 

Leather Swatches: These allow you to preview the texture, grain pattern, softness, and colour depth of our leather upholstery options.

Fabric Swatches: These samples help you assess the weave, texture, and colour tone of the fabrics, ensuring they suit the aesthetic and functional requirements of your project.

2. Natural Variations in Handmade Materials

Although swatches provide an accurate preview of colour and texture, minor variations may still occur in the final product. This is due to natural timber grain differences, dye-lot variations in fabrics, handmade production techniques, and climate influences during finishing. These subtle differences are an authentic part of handcrafted furniture and are considered normal.

3. When Swatches Are Strongly Recommended

Swatches are especially useful when matching multiple items, such as ensuring consistency across two sideboards, coordinating bedroom sets, or selecting finishes for larger commercial environments.

They are also recommended for large or high-value orders, particularly in hospitality, contract, or multi-room projects where finish alignment is important.

For bespoke or special finish requests, swatches help confirm suitability before production begins, allowing you to achieve the precise visual outcome required.

4. How to Request Swatches

Business customers can request swatches by logging into the My Account customer dashboard on our website. From there, required swatches may be selected and submitted directly. This ensures accurate identification, clear tracking, efficient processing, and fair usage across all business accounts.

5. Swatches Are Not Supplied for Non-Business Use

Swatch requests are intended exclusively for business customers. They are not provided for hobby projects, student assignments, DIY experiments, general public requests, or any non-commercial use. Swatch preparation and shipping involve both material and handling costs, and when samples are not available in our London office, they may be dispatched directly from our Jaipur factory, including international postage.

6. Fair Usage Policy

Under our fair usage policy, swatches should be requested only when genuinely required and in appropriate quantities. Requests unrelated to placing furniture orders may be declined. Artisan Furniture reserves the right to approve or limit swatch requests to maintain availability for all business customers.
