1. Unified Global Legal Position (Applies to All Orders)

Once an order is placed on any Artisan Furniture platform, it becomes a binding commercial commitment. As a B2B transaction (except limited India B2C), orders are non-cancellable unless expressly permitted. Order placement triggers immediate and irreversible operational, production, procurement, timber allocation, labour scheduling and logistics commitments. Artisan Furniture reserves the right to recover all costs, deposits and outstanding balances for any order type classified as non-cancellable.

2. Standard Dropship & Trade Orders (Non-Cancellable)

As soon as the ERP system allocates stock and books courier synchronisation, the order becomes non-cancellable. Automation cannot be reversed manually. Refusal of delivery does not constitute cancellation.

3. Bespoke / Custom Orders (Strictly Non-Cancellable)

Bespoke items are produced exclusively for the customer. These are strictly non-cancellable due to custom timber allocation, exclusive artisan labour and non-transferable specifications. Deposits are forfeited and full payment remains due.

4. On-Demand Orders (Treated as Bespoke – Strictly Non-Cancellable)

On-demand orders trigger production or inbound sourcing solely for that customer. These are operationally equivalent to bespoke. Non-cancellable.

5. Backorders (Conditional Cancellation Before Production Starts)

A backorder may only be cancelled if production has not started, goods have not left Jaipur, and export documents have not been created. Once any process begins, the backorder becomes non-cancellable.

6. Wholesale, Bulk, LCL & FCL Orders (Strictly Non-Cancellable)

The following order types cannot be cancelled once placed: wholesale bulk orders, palletised orders, large-value trade orders, LCL shipments, and FCL shipments. These trigger irreversible commitments such as internal purchase orders, production sequencing, timber selection, artisan allocation, finishing/sanding/QA scheduling, packing line assignment, export document preparation and freight/container allocation. Deposits become non-refundable; full commercial value remains payable.

7. Orders Already in Transit (Non-Cancellable)

Once dispatched from a regional fulfilment centre or collected by a courier, the order cannot be cancelled. Refusal of delivery is not a cancellation. Wholesale/LCL/FCL consignments cannot be refused and remain payable. For courier shipments only, customers must review the Wasted Delivery Policy, which is independent and applies solely to refused courier deliveries.

8. Related Policies (Separate & Independent Frameworks)

This Cancellation Policy governs cancellations only. It does not govern delivery refusal fees or post-delivery investigations. Customers must review the following standalone policies independently:

  • Wasted Delivery Policy – for courier refusals only.
  • Returns Management Policy – for post-delivery fault investigations.
  • Terms & Conditions – the master governing framework.

These documents are independent and do not influence cancellation rights.
