Recommended Retail Pricing (RRP): Artisan Furniture Policy and Guidance

Artisan Furniture operates strictly as a business-to-business (B2B) supplier and therefore does not provide or endorse Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) for any of our products. As a global supplier with multiple commercial customer categories, it is neither practical nor appropriate for us to influence, suggest, or guide the pricing that a business chooses to offer to its end consumers. Each business operates under different circumstances, cost structures, market expectations, and value propositions, making the concept of a universal or suggested retail price fundamentally unsuitable for our model.

1. Why Artisan Furniture Does Not Offer RRP

Artisan Furniture works exclusively within the B2B ecosystem, where each customer type operates in a different manner with its own pricing strategy. We supply products under three structured and transparent price tiers, each serving a distinct business model. Because these models differ widely, it is not possible to provide a single recommended price for consumer markets.

1.1 Dropship Pricing

Our dropship programme offers standardised pricing with no minimum order quantity or value restrictions. This flexibility allows customers to purchase single units on demand. The absence of bulk requirements means dropship sellers have different cost considerations from trade or wholesale buyers, and therefore must determine their own retail pricing.

1.2 Trade Pricing

Trade accounts serve independent retailers and small businesses purchasing larger volumes than dropship customers. Trade pricing is designed to reflect higher order values and includes limited discounts based on purchasing behaviour. These businesses also operate in diverse retail environments, making uniform pricing guidance inappropriate and impractical.

1.3 Wholesale Pricing

Our wholesale tier offers the most economical pricing, closely linked to high-volume orders such as full container loads, often representing several thousand pounds in value. These customers benefit from economies of scale and operate under entirely different financial and logistical frameworks. Their selling price strategies cannot be compared to smaller retailers or dropship sellers.

2. No Jurisdiction Over End Consumer Pricing

As a B2B supplier, Artisan Furniture has no jurisdiction, authority, or moral responsibility to dictate how the final product is priced by our customers. End consumer pricing depends on a wide range of business-specific factors, including:

  • Overheads
  • Marketing strategies
  • Brand positioning
  • Logistics costs
  • Geographical price sensitivity
  • Customer type
  • Value-added services you provide
  • Competition in your market
  • Your own volume vs margin strategy

Each business must therefore determine the optimal price for its own market conditions.

3. Your Responsibility to Determine Retail Pricing

We strongly recommend that each business conducts its own independent research, both locally and online, to establish an appropriate retail price. This research should consider:

  • Market expectations
  • Competitive landscape
  • Customer purchasing behaviour
  • Regional pricing norms
  • Your own operational costs
  • The overall value proposition you intend to deliver

This approach ensures your pricing remains competitive, fair, and aligned with your business model.

4. A Note of Caution Regarding Abandoned or Inactive Websites

We occasionally come across websites created by former resellers who are no longer actively trading. These may include websites abandoned due to retirement, change in circumstances, personal reasons, business closure, health or wellbeing situations, or other reasons. Such websites often display outdated or inaccurate prices which do not reflect our current pricing structure. These abandoned sites can create confusion for new or existing resellers comparing prices online.

Artisan Furniture maintains a clear, systematic, transparent, and structured pricing model based solely on the three B2B tiers outlined above. Prices displayed on inactive or non-operational websites do not represent our current pricing and should not be used as a benchmark for retail guidance.

5. Summary

Artisan Furniture does not offer Recommended Retail Pricing because of the diversity of our customer base, the varying business models involved, and the distinct commercial frameworks under which each business operates. Our pricing is designed to support B2B customers in multiple tiers—dropship, trade, and wholesale—and each customer must determine the most suitable retail pricing strategy for their own market. We remain committed to offering transparent, fair, and structured pricing without engaging in consumer-level price recommendations.
