Artisan Furniture – Wasted Delivery & Collection Policy
Wasted Delivery & Collection Charges – Important Information
At Artisan Furniture, we are proud to offer free delivery in all home countries where our fulfillment centers are located – including the UK, USA, Germany/EU, Canada, and Australia. This policy removes minimum order restrictions, enabling greater flexibility for our trade and dropship customers. However, while free delivery is a core benefit of our model, the reality is that logistics, network charges, and operational resources come at a substantial cost to our business.
A wasted delivery occurs when a confirmed delivery or collection attempt cannot be completed due to factors outside our control – such as incorrect address details, an unavailable recipient, or failure to attend a scheduled collection. In such cases, despite our team informing the customer of the delivery schedule and our logistics partners (including DHL, DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, and others) providing advance notification, the delivery resources have already been deployed. Vehicles, drivers, handling staff, and administrative systems have all been allocated.
When the recipient is not available, the costs charged by these global logistics providers are non-refundable. As a socially compliant and professionally run commercial establishment, Artisan Furniture cannot absorb these repeated out-of-pocket expenses. Therefore, wasted delivery and collection charges are applied to recover the direct costs billed to us by our logistics partners, as well as the associated administrative expenses incurred in re-processing the order.
This approach ensures fairness, transparency, and the long-term sustainability of our free delivery model. By holding all parties accountable for accurate information and timely receipt, we protect our network while continuing to provide seamless, cost-effective delivery solutions across our global footprint.
